For commercial structures, Western Architectural applies over 20 years of experience in design review and inspection services to ensure your project is done right. Constructing a weather envelope correctly the first time will dramatically improve building life and reduce long-term maintenance costs.

We help you select the appropriate materials for the job, document construction activities, and guide your contractors in following the best weather envelope construction practices. As LEED certified consultants you can also be sure we are recommending the latest advances in reusable construction materials and energy saving technologies.

Five Areas of Service

Design

Western Architectural will consult with your contractors and architects as part of your design and construction team to review and develop your plans. This will help ensure your new structure is built for maximum weather protection. As LEED certified consultants we can also provide the expertise needed when seeking a LEED designation for your new building.

Construction Inspection

When you’ve already begun construction and have contractors working on your weather envelope, Western Architectural can serve as an objective third-party observer. We oversee and document work related to the weather envelope, and we give you regular reports and recommendations on whether the job is done right. We also provide certified warranty inspections for Sto and Dryvit brand EIFS and Stucco.

Damage Inspection

Leaking roofs, windows or entryways? Cracked foundations? Exposed roof systems and slippery stairwells? We can conduct basic walkthroughs up to invasive investigations to determine the absolute cause, damage and risks posed by weather damage, and give you a plan of action for repairing your structure in the best, most cost-effective way. We can also provide certified warranty inspections for your Sto or Dryvit brand EIFS and Stucco.

Repair Oversight

When contractors or repairs are involved, Western Architectural can perform daily or weekly inspections, documenting work with photos and reports on your behalf to ensure that the materials are installed per design, building code and manufacturer requirements.

Litigation Support

Western Architectural’s experienced consultation team provides independent third-party consultation and expert witness services for construction defect case mediation, arbitration and trial.
