LOCATION
Springfield, Oregon

SITUATION
The owners of this apartment complex called Western Architectural to review the property for water intrusion and weather damage. Recent storms had prompted several calls from tenants, reporting leaking walls and windows.

WA performed and invasive investigation and found compromised siding systems, including improper installation of the weather-resistant building wrap around doors and windows.

SOLUTION
WA worked with the property owners, their attorneys and the original general contractor to define a mutually agreeable repair plan.

The plan called for a complete removal and replacement of the existing siding system. It also called for new weather-resistant building wrap, flashings, and vinyl siding.
