EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System) cladding and LP siding

LOCATION
Vancouver, Washington

SITUATION
This homeowner contacted Western Architectural (WA) to conduct a pre-sale condition assessment of the home’s EIFS cladding and LP siding. During this inspection, WA identified locations of moisture intrusion behind the siding system.

SOLUTION
WA conducted a follow-up invasive inspection to identify causes of water intrusion, as well as analyze cladding issues and defects that were contributing to the premature failure of the home’s exterior envelope system.

Based on the findings of the invasive investigation, WA recommended and oversaw the total removal and replacement of the failing siding systems. The replacement was made up of conventional stucco, stone and Hardiplank®.
